How will you know about the progress your child is making?
Annotated work samples are collated twice a year in your child’s individual Portfolio.
Parents, pupils and teachers meet in Term 1 and Term 3 to discuss your child’s progress and to set goals which are recorded and worked on throughout the year.
In Terms 2 and 4 parents receive written Reports against National Standards.
Teachers evaluate the attainment of the set goals and each pupil’s progress in attainment of knowledge, understanding and skills according to the New Zealand Education Guidelines.
Additional interviews may be arranged if the need arises.
All parents are given a Parent Information sheet during the first week of each year or when the child begins school. This is a comprehensive outline of how you may be able to help in your child’s educational progress and development.
