Reporting to parents

How will you know about the progress your child is making?

  • Annotated work samples are collated twice a year in your child’s individual Portfolio.
  • Parents, pupils and teachers meet in Term 1 and Term 3 to discuss your child’s progress and to set goals which are recorded and worked on throughout the year.
  • In Terms 2 and 4 parents receive written Reports against National Standards.
  • Teachers evaluate the attainment of the set goals and each pupil’s progress in attainment of knowledge, understanding and skills according to the New Zealand Education Guidelines.
  • Additional interviews may be arranged if the need arises.
  • All parents are given a Parent Information sheet during the first week of each year or when the child begins school. This is a comprehensive outline of how you may be able to help in your child’s educational progress and development.
